The Sew-Opportunity, a.k.a. Sew-OP or SO, understands the need to rebuild the native cultures of the lands and offers a technology that promotes healthy ethics toward the future of business. Discovered land has displaced the natives by those who arrived in those places looking to claim something for material gain. Native peoples every where have faced exile in their own countries and forced to live on small often unfertile plots of land. This has been going on for long enough and the initial land wars are over. So we are in a bit of rebuilding what was destroyed and this means to reintegrate ancient wisdom into our ever-thriving societies of today.

The Sew-Op is a not-for-profit group that organizes people, places and things to the potential of maximum efficiency. Planning, location placement, full implementation of tools and procedures as well as employing personnel are all part of the package created. Native locations are entitled to receive the same benefits of any other Sew-Op and more. Restoring indigenous cultures by creating trade and open markets that are protected from exploitation and produce maximum value results. Connectivity with our ancestor's knowledge of fabrics and skill in the textile trade brings forth the stories of the people.

The Plan:

Sew-Op organizes/over sees Clothing Drives Use Sew-Op donation schematic specifically for a native project revival Goods are collected over time or at large events as a Clothing drive sponsored by Conscious Alliance and Sew-OP for Native Revival Sew-Op will appropriate fabrics in proper fashion. Ideal Collections:
  • Clothes, blankets, Sheets, jackets, fabric and textiles
  • Sewing machines, bobbins, thread, scissors, buttons, notions
  • Patterns, dress forms, tools
  • Other associated sewing/ textile trade products
Ideal conditions:
  • Large event (Advance info on type of collection)
  • Large vehicle to collect goods Boxes, bags, tape, labels on location
  • A tribe of volunteers to greet and receive goods
  • Tax write off people?
We will be ready to receive thousands of people to donate mostly clothes. Old machines that have been collecting dust and notions from many years ago will surface to the donation pile. Everything that is brought in is put into the proper pile to be labeled, checked for functionality and marked if for alternative to native donation. Some things should go to other charities in efforts to only bring natives the most usable items.

Envision Sew-Opportunity providing indigenous people the use of what is brought to them for free to reuse and profit from. The Sew-Op will receive various types of donations that are used to build an on site location. When the essentials are met, a shipment can be sent out with a representative to set up shop. This rep will have knowledge of how to set up a shop, instruct others how to maintain, how to run it on a day to day and what to plan for. The inter-net or some basic hand out material is all a location needs to inform them on most of what they need to know. The provided amounts of machines and tools available will depend upon the amount of materials regularly sent to the location.

Container Freighted goods will be necessary for large donations and shipments to other countries. Containers can be loaded over time and shipped when full. Sew-Op has services available to manage shipping in house. Local and/or international delivery coordinated for the smallest shipment to the largest piece of cargo. Shipping containers can also be useful on location in some environments to provide security of goods, storage and operate a Sew-Op out of.

Donations that are accepted will usually go to a location of use almost immediately when collection is complete. Storage should be avoided unless the facility has approved specifically. Obviously, small amounts of donations maybe require storage until a full load is worth final delivery. Food and clothing may accompany the same load for delivery. Ideally, the flow will create itself where monthly deposits are made and goods are available for pick up as well. These goods picked up will be pre ordered or produced for sale and brought to a marketable environment.

Peace of mind is possible when it comes to restoring the land and honoring the people who do it. Originally the land keepers made sure that all was tended to and nothing wasted. This is the message that will earn attention so people can motivate for the change that is possible. Ultimately most tribes, natives and elders have stories and myth to tell for all era of time. These stories are what we can allow these indigenous people to tell us in safe environments and keep some of the teachings alive. A harmonic vibration can be achieved that creates an artistic approach to life which allows us to move on from the waste culture to reuse.
